Wow! That makes a big difference. It has style now. Did you notice the shop windows moved? The architect had the wrong dimensions on the plans and the edge of the windows did not line up with the ones below. Hard to notice because it was only 3 inches. Once the trim was in place, it would be more noticeable and too late to correct.

Trimming the end of the trusses. They make it look so easy... just walk along a 6 inch board, reach out almost 2 feet and cut it straight. Glad it's them and not me.

The roof is going up. Soon it will look like a house. Can't wait for the pile of dirt, concrete and roots to go away.

The second floor has its first wall. Won't be long now and they will be working on the roof. Still waiting for the utilities which means the trench is still in its half done state. Rumor has it they will be working on that next week.

The upstairs floor is in and the sheeting is going up down below. Won't be long and there will be walls going up on the second floor.

The beams are in place and soon the upstairs floor will be in place. The framers are taking their time making sure everything is as plumb and square as possible- a bonus of the current housing situation.

The beams flying into place. They had to rent a boom truck to get these brutes into place but it will be well worth it to have the center post gone.
The solution to the center post... 2 big beams to span the width and support the 2 smaller beams that hold up the floor above.
